I suppose you could call a female an 'Amazon'. Instead of Commando!
But 'going' commando means lack of underwear and thinking it's somehow tough or sexy! It's neither! Real 'Commando's' do wear underwear, the uniform is pretty uncomfortable without! (My hubbies words)! Sexiness is anticipation and seeing it out on display inappropriately spoils the fun!

A commando is a commando regardless of gender. But to my knowledge there are no female commandos in the military. I am quite sure many could qualify, but our society has not grown to the point of allowing women in commando type positions. You might possibly find openings in the private or civilian arena.
