I don't think they are adjusted for inflation, but if they were, I think Rocky 1 would be the winner, as it was released in 1976, 9 years before Rocky 4.

Rocky two and Rocky four were the two big hitters, the fourth was mainly due to Dolph Lunder howd you spell it and Bridget Nielsen. out of all the films though i think Rocky Balboa won at the box office.
