Then we could have told Bonds to take a hike.

Because they are the Giants. This is the team that authored the Bonser/Liriano/Nathan for Pierzynski trade. "We need a closer...waaaaaaahhhh!!" 'Nuf said? Vlad would have been even better hitting 3rd ahead of Bonds when they could have snagged him. The Giants also should have used the money spent on Zito to re-sign Schmidt and add another decent pitcher. Great offseason - re-sign Bonds and ink a pitcher who has consistently declined for 3 years running to a huge deal. Nice!!!!!!!!!

Cause Bonds is the only Superstar allowed to be on a Bond’s team. Come on why don’t you resign the MVP, or players that can help your team and just sign marginal players. Because Bonds wants to be the only player on his team.

Vlady would have done well there. But Bonds was still under contract and how do you tell Barry he can't hit 4th anymore?

Z wasnt worth that money.
It will pay off now, but in the long hall you might be crying by the time his contract is up.
