This would depend totally on what your expectations of this marriage were and how your culture and background viewed marriage. Marriage by western standards is based on the ideal of romantic love whereas other societies view it as based on committment, logic, procreation and stability. A contract that provides for a stable union. Love can grow after that point.

I think it's debatable. It really depends on what your motives are-- and how you approach the whole love issue. If you're marrying solely for what you're going to get out of it (ie- money, attention, safety), you'll most likely just end up hurting each other. On the other hand, if you're planning on falling in love in the process (and trust me, it does happen), the relationship can be mutually beneficial.
I guess my biggest issue with convenient marriages is that in today's society, we're expected to leave relationships if there's no feeling of love in them. If one were to marry for convenience, there might always be that temptation to cheat-- something which can ruin any marriage, convenient or not.

Yes, the only reason for marriage in the human kingdom is not for convience, money, reproduction, it should be because of the heart. Physically it may not be wrong (unless you're family) but it's wrong on another, stronger level.
I at least see marriage as another step in love, and if you don't love the person you shouldn't marry them, besides if you don't love them then problems will come up later in the relationship.
Marry for love, create a family that you love, the one thing I want the most and can not have. Do it for your and their heart.

If you're married just to say you're married, how can you be happy?
I can't imagine someone doing that, but it's happening quite a bit. These folks usually are miserable.

I think so. Because you are cheating yourself and your partner out of true love.
