Loneliness is a feeling that does not necessarily reflect how many people are around us or in our daily lives.
Connection is what combats loneliness. You have a computer at the very least and therefore you have a wonderful tool to connect to other people.
I have recently discovered a wonderful site on line. There are quite a few similar sites too. These are virtual worlds and they are all free to download and enter and interact with real people.
Active Worlds, There, Entropia Universe, Dotsoul Cyberpark and Red Light Center are the main ones.
Other than that, out in the real world there are plenty of other people wanting to end their loneliness. Go out and find them. Have fun doing it. Go to clubs and other places and events where people go.
Good Luck

Get involved in a club or a hobby. Seek out an old friend. Hope you feel better soon. Alone is a sad place.

Why do you feel so alone? Get out there and have some fun if you can.

Do you want to start a club with me? ;-)
I hear you hun, it sucks huh?
I'm a married (on paper anyway, ha) mom of two and I feel like the only companionship I have usually is the company of my two kids when they're not at school or out playing with their friends.

NO. I HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE I KEEP IN TOUCH BY PHONE, E-MAIL AND YES, STILL BY MAIL. I ALSO HAVE NICE FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS TO TALK TO. I CAN STRIKE UP A CONVERSATION JUST ABOUT EVERY WHERE I GO. I ALSO HAVE HOUSE WORK, READING AND A HUSBAND I CARE FOR VERY MUCH. I TRY TO KEEP BUSY, WHEN I'M NOT ASLEEP. I HAD MAJOR SURGERY IN NOV '06. Dr SAID IT WILL TAKE A YEAR BEFORE I RECOVER, ALMOST, COMPLETELY. WHEN I FEEL DOWN, I THINK OF OTHERS THAT DON'T HAVE IT AS GOOD AS I DO. THEN I WISH I COULD TALK TO THEM AND TRY TO BRING THEIR SPIRITS UP.

We all do sometimes.
I assume since you tagged your question with "Marriage&Divorce" you are going through a tough time right now.
The key is to really understand that you have to find a way to make yourself happy. Talking about things and making your own plan help.
Take care.
