I am 16 and from New Jersey, and I have a learners permit to drive. I want to drive in Florida with my grandmother when I visit her. Is my permit legal or accepted in Florida?!

Florida is a big brother state which means that they accept other states info like drivers licenses and drivers permits but be care full it also means if you get a ticket there they will know about it in new Jersey and you have to pay after you go home

Yes I believe that 16 is a legal age to drive to in state as long as you have the proper document or ID...in this case a learners permit.

Read the permit. It may state right on it that it is only valid in NJ, or only valid with a driver licensed in NJ.

Even if that doesn't clearly rule out what you plan to do, best to check with Florida DMV.

Don't go courting trouble. If in doubt, just don't drive while you're there.

yea, all states must respect other states authority and since you got the learners permit in new jersey you can drive down there, but you must follow the same laws you would follow in new jersey and follow all traffic laws in florida...

Call the Dmv in the city where your Grandma lives and ask them. Have a great time visitng with your Grandma!!
