In February I saw a War film. It was on late ish at night. The bis I remember: some guy sitting on watch talking to his mate. Another guy daring one of his mates to look through the canvas sheet to see if he could see the opposition...to which point there is a sniper sitting somewhere and the guy gets shot in the head! It is mainly set in a trench...not sure if t was a film four drama/film and if it had Jude Law in it. I have checked IMdB and still can't find the film.......if this sounds familiar to anybody please write back or if you just know the film.....I have been searchng for weeks now.

Seen Enemy At The Gate and its a wkd film. Think the film I'm on about was set WW1 and I'm not sure that it is Jude Law. E.A.T.G was not set in a trench. I can't even get february's TV listings up so I can trawl back through them!!!

CHEERS FOR YOUR HELP GUYS BUT I FOUND IT AND THE ONE THING I HAVE BEEN GOING ON ABOUT TO MY BF IS THAT IT WAS SET IN A TRENCH AND FUNNILY ENOUGH THE FILM WAS CALLED THE TRENCH!!! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP XXX

Could be Enemy At The Gates. That featured Jude Law playing a Russian sniper in Stalingrad trying t root out the German sniper played by Ed Harris

It's called enemy at the gates, ed harris plays the german sniper, quite a good movie.
