I'm playing a multiplayed game online, but keep getting kicked due to my ping being too high. How can I solve this, and what exactly does it mean?

The ping is a bit like a submarine uses to tell where an enemy ship is. On computers the ping tells you how far away the game is or the other player. A signal goes down and a distance comes back.If you are a long way or via a strange route, your game signal will be a fraction of a second late.
"your ping is too high"
Not much you can do except perhaps a faster processor chip or something, HTH GL

The ping rate is simply how close your connection is running to real time. The higher it is, then the more lag you get.

Its to do with the amont of bits which the connection can recieve a minute, the more bits, the better the connection, the less the lag, and the less the ping rate...

Hope this helps..

Hello Andy

Ping is a representation of your Internet speed connection. The lower the ping the closer you are to your Internet connection playing in real time. You will often come across the term "lag" short for Lagging, which is Internet Jargon for a user who is slow and behind.

The faster your internet connection the faster and hence lower your ping will be.

high ping you must be on dialup connection, you would lag everyone since you can only handle so many bytes coming in. Lag if i shoot you in the game your not dead still alive and does other funny things, what is your internet connection

It also depends on how good your ISP is. Mine sucks and have been kicked from competitions because of their inability to maintain a good rate.
