There is actually a little switch inside you can find it and press it with the door wide open to check if you dont believe me...i wondered that too so asked my boyfriend who seemed to know hehe!!

There is a button close to the door that turn off the light when you shut the fridge. Push the button when the door is open and check if the light turn off.

Because when you hold down the button at the top of the fridge inside, the light goes off, as it does when you close the fridge.

because if u open it just barely you can see the light is off. you can also use a digital and set it on the video setting and stick it in the fridge and close the fridge. then take your camera out and watch the video.

We can't for sure but you can check it by pushing in the little button that pushes in when the door shuts. If the light goes off then, you can be fairly sure it goes off when the door shuts. Try and see! :)

Step one - drill a hole in the door for air to get in so you can breathe when you do step three..
Step two. Take all of the shelves out and get in.
Step three. Close the door.
Step four. See the light went out.
Step five. Patch the door and put the shelves back in.

Jim J I like your explanation,but one problem you forgot to mention to take the food out between anawers No1 & No2. never mind he's probably found that out by now
Crockski 65mm core drill, are you sure thats big enough I would use at least a 110mm and then the whole family can view. Ps in the trade we call core drills ronnies ( stands for corebit )

there is a spring loaded switch in the frame of the refrigerator that turns the light on and off. when the door closes, it mashes the switch in, turning off the light. open your door and see if you can find the switch, it is usually at the top. push it and see if the light turns off.

Without any feedback in the way of a viewport or other indicator that the light circuit was closed we don't know.

We assume the light is off but we have no proof.

I think you should climb inside and then have someone shut the door... that would be the only sure way to know. If you can't fit inside then stick a cat in there and learn how to speak "meow".
