many animals are being put down because they have no home to go to. many dogs , cats and other animals are already filling up the organizations and rescues centers . the overpopulation of animals in the end is hurting the animals already being in the shelter for a long time then sadly they have to be put down cause nobody came in time to adopt them. so if u want a dog cat hamster rabbit or whatever go to your local spca or rescue to go fill an application and if approved choose your new friend. GO SAVE AN ANIMAL AND YOU RECEIVE A NEW FRIEND AND DONT FORGET TO SPAY AND NEUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(if u do end up adopting or just adopted please write back and make my day : ) and kuddos!)

All my animals are rescued! My dog found us one day outside of our house. We used to live right next to blm land and it is very popular to for people to "dump" animals there. He is a yellow lab and the most awesome dude! He was abused pretty bad by who ever dumped him but we have had him for a year now and he is like a whole new dog. We have two cats one was a barn cat who is fixed and the other one we got from the shelter for the kids for x-mas who being from the shelter was already fixed. Oh we also have two chickens but we had to buy those from the store, lol. No chicken rescues here!
Great Question!
Smile much and love more!

Well I got one dog from the pound. She is a wonderful dog. And our other dog we found and didn't really want to keep because he was too big for our apartment, but couldn't find another home for him and couldn't stand the thought of bringing him to the pound, so we kept him. Have had him for almost 5 months and he is great. And our 3 cats have all been rescued as well.
I agree. When people ask about breeding on here I let them know that only responsible, knowledgeable people should be breeding to make a breed better. Not just because they have a purebred dog. Or talk about getting a purebred dog, I tell them to search rescues, pounds and shelters first.
Pound dogs and cats are the best!!!!

I got a guinea pig with a broken leg that had healed backwards. It wasn't amputated because it healed fine. There was no nerve damage and no circulation problems. He walks on a backwards knee instead of a hind paw. He was too cute... I had to take him home. : ) (I named him Timmy after the South Park character. I had to have some fun with him. )

NEVER send you pet to a place the kills them. Send them to a no-kill shelter.
