I have no clue! When i press on my brakes at stop light or sign for example. My truck makes an almost girggling noise and i can feel it too. I know it's not my brakes, they work fine. It's only when i press on them and my truck is at a stop.I can put it in "park",it wont makes a noise at all. With the brakes in play my truck shakes a lilttle.Have any idea what that could be?

It has to be a problem with your transmission or your torque converter. On a normally operating automatic transmission when you press on the brakes in D mode it should stop the car but keep the engine running at normal RPMs. What your car is doing is what a manual transmission vehicle would do if you press on the brakes without pressing on the clutch. It starts to shake and want to turn off, aka staul. The reason that happens is because you are forcing the engine to go lower on the RPMs than the RPMs at idle, by pressing on the brakes. If the RPMs are forced under the usual 1000 revolutions per minute at idle then the car will begin to shake and want to staul. In a manual transmission vehicle you disengage the engine from the transmission to avoid the car from stauling when you hit the brakes. That lets the engine keep its normal RPM's while the parts in the transmission slow down. What is happening with your car is that when you hit the brakes the engine and the transmission are still connected. The transmission would force the engine to slow down and staul your vehicle. In park mode the transmission and engine are disconnected and that is why you don't have any problems when the car is in park. I bet it is the torque converter that is stuck and is not working property when you press on the brakes. Half of the torque converter should spin on the engine side while while the other half located closer to the transmission should stop moving. Thats your problem there. Just get the torque converter replaced or repaired.

It is possible that its not the torque converter located between the transmission and the engine but i am pretty sure it is.

No that sounds like extremely worn brakes and/or damaged brake calipers. Get the pads replaced and the brakes checked out IMMEDIATELY, as that could fail at the wrong time. If you feel pulsation in the brake pedal, you will likely need new rotors too... $$$

its ur brakes, whats happened is your brake pads have gotten so bad that everytime u brake the worn out pads are rubbing against the rotors, u need to get it fixed right away, new rotors can be pricey, if u havent messed up the rotors tottaly maybe they can resurface them for u, so yea replace brake pads and maybe rotors, get it checked at a reliable place

It could be the brakes. Does the light say ABS? If so, it is the brakes. If it says "SRS" its your alternator, but it most likely isn't the light turning on. If your transmission was messed up, your "check engine" would come on.

your brake pads are worn out, now your rotors are being grinded. longer you wait, the more money you'll be out. if it was anything else it would do it all the time
