My fondest memories growing up is the excitement of waking up on a Saturday morning to watch cartoons. I can remember watching (long list time) Space Ghost, Smurfs, Gummi Bears, Super Friends, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk, Flash Gordon, Snorks, Trollkins, Drac Pack, The Lone Ranger/Zorro Hour, Mighty Orbots, The Herculoids, Jason of Star Command, Superman, W.I.L.D.Cats, Savage Dragon, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Street Fighter, X-Men, Spider-Woman, Skeleton Warriors, Thundarr the Barbarian, Jonny Quest, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Darkwing Duck, Looney Tunes, Pink Panther, and etc. I'm sure I left out some but you get the picture. (I just listed Saturday shows from the late 70's to the 1990's.) You had plenty of choices from NBC, ABC, CBS, and later FOX to watch in the mornings. There was something somewhere for somebody and everybody had a favorite. Now some of the networks mentioned treat cartoons like a plague. At least we got Cartoon Network and others trying to carry the torch but it's not the same. I don't know whether I'm just getting older or the times are just changing that much from those good old days. Thanks for the memories.

Yeah, back when Power Rangers were cool. i miss those saturdays. I would wake up early just to watch the Power Rangers, Spiderman, Adventures of Batman and Robin, The Tick, MegaMan, Animanics, Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, X-men, Eek the Cat, VR Troopers. I remember when weekday cartoons were great too with the Disney Hour on KCal 9 (I live in CA), Fox Kids, and when CBS had cartoons (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

What the hell happened to those days?!!! Now it's all crap on TV, and only like 10 good cartoon shows nowadays.

Yeah...now the Saturday morning cartoons got boring. Whatever happened to the good cartoons?

Of course cartoons were cooler back then than they are today. Back then, we were children. :)

Seriously... back then, I thought He-Man/She-Ra: the Secret of the Sword was a terrific show. I watched it about 7,000 times. I had the entire thing memorized from beginning to end.

I watched it again about 10 years ago (at the age of 20-something), and was rather startled to discover that the movie actually... kind of sucked. :)

"She-Ra! Your hands! Look! They're glowing!"
"Can it be? For the honor of Greyskull, let your wounds... be healed!"
"Thank you, dear friend."
"A pleasure. All mine."

Yeah, I remember when they used to be good, before they started recycling the old favourites and trashing them completely. Nowadays, all that's there is trash. I feel like telling 'Warner Brothers to stop molesting Bugs Bunny's name and legacy with that new trollop that is the "Lunatics Unleashed".

I would much rather watch Gummi Bears, Pee Wee's Playhouse, X-Men, or Dungeons and Dragons than any of the stuff that they have now.

just like tasting your favorite candy and you notice that the flavor isn't the same. The formula for TV & MUSIC sucks in the new Millenium.
