My speakers aren't playing any sound. Everything is connected and the volume isn't muted. Help?

My speakers just stopped playing sound. Earlier today they were working just fine but now they aren't. Can somebody please help me?

There is more to the computers volume settings than just the main "volume".

Double click on that speaker icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Make sure that both the master volume and the wave volume are turned up.

If that does not solve it, then you should try reinstalling your sound drivers. You can get them from the computer manufacturers website.

I would also test the speakers with something else. Anything like an Ipod or something else that has a heaphone port on it should work just fine. This way you make sure that the speakers actually work.

Go down to the toolbar and look on the bottom right corner. click the arrow to expand so you see all the icons. do you see the little gray speaker thing? double click that and make sure the "line in" isn't checked and that the volume is all the way up.
