I am 25 and have always used soap and water on my face with the occasional spot treatment.
I need to start a good skincare routine as I am fed up of dull lifless looking skin.
I have been told that the botanics range from boots is good but I have no idea what to buy or how often to use the stuff.
Please help.

There are so many to choose from.
Firstly though, you should assess what type of skin you have.
Normal, Combination or Sensitive.
If you can't do this on your own, try the beauty counters.
They can do the test and give you an assessment at the same time.
Then they will recommend what sort of products you will need to start your skin care routine.
If you feel that you are being sold the whole of the shop, ask for samples to see if you get on with the products.
Having said that, Origins, are great products and are doing promotions at the moment.
Call in their shop. They are very helpful and they will let you have some products to try out before embarking on big buys.
Good Luck!

I use a dermabration kit on my face, you can buy in the shops for between 20 to 50 pounds. It removes the dead lifeless layer of skin on top and makes your complexion radiant as well as getting rid of spots and minimising pores. I use it about once a week, this combined with a gentle wash and moisturiser should do the trick.

Stop using soap on your face immediately! Use a moisturising cleanser, a toner to suit your skin type, then a night cream, also to suit your skin type (ie, dry, greasy, combination). Light splash of cold water in the morning, then a day cream under your usual make up. Do this every day. Never go to bed with your make up on - ever!

I am 27 and use the Mary Kay Time wise line. It has Microdermabrasion all the way to lotions. It is costly but works wonders and u see results immediately. I recommend buying all the products in this line. Scouts honor. It's worth the money!
