Oh no, I just realized I added an "e" to the word do! Sorry for the typo. Don't judge me too harshly!

One of my favorite proverbs is "familiarity breeds comtempt". The more we get to know people, the more likely we are to find fault with them. For the sake of freshness in my friendships I often create distance or time between visits... it always gives us new stuff to talk about.

I also am not always in agreement with what my friends do or say but rather than make an issue of it I will distance myself for awhile to ponder over how to address the issue - if at all.

Then lastly - just because we are friends does not mean we will always get along or be in agreement so yes, there are times I will avoid them to again give me AND them time to reflect or frankly just to enjoy the company of other friends.

Yes actually I do. I have a very good friend who hates the long drive home that she has from work every evening. So she will call and talk and if she gets you and gets started she won't quit until she gets home. she is younger than I am and loves that damn cell phone with a passion. So some times when I see her number in the evening around 5:00 I don't answer cause i know she is on that long drive home.

Yes, but only cos I have a tendency to go through these periods of social seclusion where I don't really wanna hang out with anybody. Then I go back into my social chaos phase where I wanna be around lots of people, so I start talking to them again. It's ridiculous and probably kinda mean, but sometimes I just wanna be a loner.

Sometimes. When I know they want help with something that really sux bad and know I'll help even though I don't want to. Misery loves company right?

Once he came over and needed a hand with something...I ended up driving 300+ miles that day.

Sometimes I just want to be by myself. Just me, myself, and I. It's nothing personal, and they know that.

If I'm in a bad mood, they're mad at me, I'm mad at them, they're in a bad mood or I've been growing apart from them.
