the 7900GS 256MB is the best card, contrary to the first poster, it doesn't matter what your application is since every card on your list is a standard graphics card. Workstation cards are whole different story and sell for much more than what you have listed (in the thousands each).
The 7300, 7500, and x1300 are not worth buying since they are somewhat expensive, but do not provide much power. In other words, their "bang for the buck" is not as high as the 7900 and x1650
The X1650 is a good choice if you are on a tight budget since it is a bit cheaper, but the 7900 will provide a noticeable and much larger performance increase. The ATI counterpart of the 7900 would be the X1950.
So, in my opinion you should not buy the 7300, 7500, or the x1300. The 7900 definitely beats the x1650 in power, but at a price. The alternative to the 7900 is the x1950, which is a slightly more expensive, but worth the money.

They are all different and have different performance in every application. One might be better in a certain task while the other is a better in a different task. ATM Nvidia has better higher end cards compared to ATI. The lower end segment has a few areas where ATI has a better card.
You can use this web page to compare each card.
http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html
Just choose one of the graphics cards in the first menu and a different one in the 2nd. The graph will show your selections in red so you can compare. From looking at that list I'd say the 7900 GS to be the winner. a Nvidia 7600 gs is also faster then a x1600...ALthough I'm not so sure about the x1650...
But the web page I linked above will have all your answers. ^_^.

With NVidia the higher the number normally the higher the quality. PCI-express is faster than both PCI and AGP and will allow you to combine two cards with an SLI Bridge. A good place to find reviews is CNet. I put a link below.
My pick in that list is the NVidia 7900 GS

I would desire to agree. The 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce pass 7300 has greater uncooked processing ability. Plus you could in all risk seek the internet for mods or acquire a patch to enhance that is firmware to accomplish greater advantageous.

I have a Nvidia Leadtek 7300GT Extreme 128MB DDR3
It plays all games and does everything I want to do.
Has the same memory&gpu clock speeds as a 7600GT
except it has 8 pixle pipeline instead of 12.
and 128MB DDR3 instead of 256MB DDR3
