Has anybody read the book "A child Called `IT`"?

It is about Dave Pelzer Tell me do you think it is sad or a good but sad book

I read the book and the events that happened to him were more than sad. But he gained victory over the abuse and has made it well known that the ones that are being abused today and also of the past, are not alone. Throughout his entire book, I kept wondering how he made it. Yes indeed, it was a sad book but good in the way that people don't have to keep secrets when they are being abused. Dave has dedicated his entire life to help others now. If it's not documented, it's not so. No more hidden secrets about abusive parents!

I browsed this book whilst waiting for someone who was checking out and after just reading a couple of sentences I was hooked. I bought the book and read it that night. It is sad but an extremely compelling read and I was always needing to know what happened next. It is not a long book and was an easy read...but having read it the next installment was at the top of my shopping list...I needed to have it to find out the outcome...and it was worth it. I think everyone should read this book and those of us with easy childhoods and great parents count ourselves lucky. My teenage son also read the book and thought it was great....I think it should be read by all ages as it teaches us all something..xx

I loved that book. It's a good book to read but it's pretty sad. It shows so much details, but i think this situation is really happening in real liofe to millions of chilren right now.

It's a bittersweet book. He is telling a story about his mom abusing him, which is extremely sad and graphic in parts, but you know he overcomes it and becomes a successful man and a parent himself. If you haven't read it, I would recommend it.
