The router worked fine until two months ago when I had trouble connecting to the internet. Called Verizon and was told to disconnect the router, I did. The internet works fine on my first computer and when I attempted to connect to the other using the router, I cannot connect to the internet. Can anyone tell me why.
Thanks.

With all power turned off , first connect the router to the DSL modem. Then connect the first PC to the router. Power on the DSL modem wait for the lights to stop blinking. Then power on the router. Then power on the computer. If still no connection insert the Verizon CD to complete installation.

I would have to say that it is either a bad network cable, or a bad port on the router itself.

I take it you have both computer's hooked up to that router. Try using the cable for the computer that works on the computer that doesn't work. Use the same port on the router as well.

If it works fine with the other cable, then you probably just need to go buy a new cable.

If it does not, then there are issues with either the network card that is installed on the computer or the network drivers.

I would reinstall the drivers for the network card on the computer that does not work properly.

Is it a wireless router? If it is, when you unplug the router it resets all of it's settings to default including an encrypted key that the other computer uses for security. Find that default key and it should work
