Just off the top of my head...
Light free weights help with upper torso workout but don't stress the chair...
Or you could use a chin-up bar that's low enough you can reach it from the chair and keep your legs out in front of you...
Interesting fact, if You work out ONE SIDE of your body, it helps the other side too (They stay the same weight, though one side will be stronger than the other). SOOO...If you have friend that can help you to onto a wieght machine you can work all BUT the broken leg.
Lastly:
Since your in the chair, check out http://www.sitandbefit.com/
It's a PBS show for old people who can't get up and exercise. I'm not saying your old or weak, but since you can't get up & need to exercise...

You can't workout your legs because you have a cast on. Didn't anybody tell you. Best to cut back on the food just a little if you are use to exercising daily.

I have never had a broken leg, but I would imagine you could still work your upper body. Arms and perhaps abs? Also, you may have to cut back on the food intake. Which may be hard, because if you're like me, you eat when you're bored, and if you've got a broken leg, I would imagine you can't do much and are bored. lol
But good luck, and don't stress out over it. No one will care what you look like there.

Sit on a bench or the edge of your sofa and lift weights to workout your arms. Or stand back away from the wall (on one foot obviously) about two feet, fall toward the wall, catch yourself and then push off the wall. This will work out your arms as well.

all u really need to do to keep from gaining any wait is really increase your water intake, becuase water regulates your metabolism. and cut back on the amount of food you eat, dont starve yourself just cut back a little because you are not burning as many calories as you we're before you broke your leg. lastly anything you feel is safe for you to do to increase your heartrate for a period of 30 minutes or more will help you increase your metabolism as well as lose more weight.

First thing you should do is talk to your doctor. Then start with a low impact routine until you build the strengh back in your leg. But do not risk further injury talk to the Doctor.

Is your cast below your knee?? Then you can still do crunches.....sit ups. Use some weights and do upper body exercises.
Also, since you cant really do cardio.........make sure that you are eating very healthy...lots of fruits and veggies.

Just get your leg constantly moving and get use to the pain, because if u do, then the pain will go away sooner or later.
