I would first ensure your router is 802.11G capable. Check to see what type of IP you have. If your router has a DHCP server, it should assign your laptio an IP address automaticly. You will probably need to configure your wireless network from your router as well. And setup your laptop to connect to the wireless network automaticly.

attempt this till now calling Comcast Comcast makes use of the MAC identity of your laptop to regulate and assign internet IP addresses. in the event that they don't see the MAC identity they anticipate they don't supply you an IP handle. Your router blocks your MAC identity, so as that is why once you place it in line, you won't be able to connect. flow into your router setup and choose "clone MAC identity" It makes all the version playstation - i've got used cable internet for extra effective than 15 years. In that ingredient i've got been down lees than 3 days. that's the quickest provider you may get for residential use and Comcast is a minimum of a real ISP, in assessment to three amenities like Verizon, who hand you off to a third social gathering

This might sound stupid but have you enabled wireless on the router? By default wireless WLAN) is often turned off.
