I know what you mean! This kid can't sing! I think people who hate the show do this to make us mad.

I'm a hardcore choir person and serious about music, sooo.. the answer to why I voted for Sanjaya. Yes. I VOTED for Sanjaya. Ahh I love saying that, it gets me so much attention. Well it's because he's cute obviously, but there's more to it than that. I agree with the whole vote for the worst idea and honestly I do like Melinda and all those people. But I HATE loud singers. When I watch American Idol I do not need to sit through Melinda and Lakisha and that stupid teenage girl and all these people who belt things out. It's overpowering. Sanjaya, is funny and endearing. Also the phonelines are always full for everyone else. And my mom likes Sanjaya. But you say those aren't good reasons to vote for him? Honestly, does it matter? Taylor Hicks was a flop albumwise, I can't name Fantasia's songs and I didn't like "I'm sorry 2004". I love Carrie and Kelly's not bad. So yeah here's the great thing about Sanjaya. He's different. I have a lot of Indian friends and you know American Idol is only black and white. It's like people think Asians can't sing! So if Sanjaya does win, which he probably won't but it's funny to see him in there doing his peace sign tongue sticking out thing, he can sit in a studio and release something as good as Paris's album. Those other people can just belt stuff onto an album, but they can get him to be all soft and sweet and tender, with the right resources and a media machine, anyone can do it, we need more teenybopper stuff out there, we really do, lighthearted stuff is gone nowadays. Like Diana Ross said, "Sanjaya is love"

I heard it was because Howard Stern hates Simon Cowell and Simon said he would quit Idol if Sanjaya won - so Stern has told all his listeners to vote for him.

I really can't figure out how Sanjaya is still there.Good singers are going home and he gets to stay it's not right.

I don't know what the deal is with that. He is cute in a way but he is not good enough to be the next American Idol. Who do they think their kidding. People are wasting their votes on him instead of the real good ones.

A friend at work said that he is still on there because he is getting 100% of the Indian vote. I said there can't be that many people from India watching AI in the US. He said you would be very susprise and they are very supportive.

There's an India Idol show of it's own in India.....so it can't be ALL india people voting for him.
There are a lot of young people who think he's hot voting for him....even tho he can't sing.
Yes, I'm aware of the Indian people here in the states too.

He sounded horrible Tuesday.
He looked surprised himself when they told him he was "safe" on Wednesday

people vote for him because he is young and they think that he is adorable. but he cant really sing well. but it could be that the votes got messed up like in the last season with kathrine and chris
