I'm a classically trained voice teacher and i hear some definite potential.
The first thing you have going for you is that you have near perfect intonation even while singing a capella.
That means you sing in tune without backgroung music to hear at the same time. Most people can't do that.
That was a hard song to sing in tune.
You should record it again in a higher key. You may not like your high voice as well as your lower register, but it's easier for listeners to enjoy when you are right in the middle of your range. That was pretty low for you. Sounds really good though. Soulful. Bluesy. I wouldn't do American Idol, cuz they do pop and in my opinion you are not gonna shine in the pop arena. Folk, blues, jazz, etc. would tend to be your strong areas.
Don't give up. Get some lessons, if you haven't already.

You don't have a singing voice, but you can try acoustic type singing, since this song you sang would sound great for singing with acoustic.

You don't have a voice that stands out, so really, it's in the marketing.

TIPS

Create a gimmick for your image. Marketing is 90% of being successful. (How do you think Britney Spears became successful without singing talent? She's a dancer!)

You are more of a Norah Jones type, and you can go far, just stick to what you know because you are not a Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera.

You have enough talent to make something of yourself if you understand what it takes.

Yes, you would sound very well with accompanyment. You should try it. The more you sing, the better you will get. Sing a song with someone accompanying you and put it on here so we can hear it.

Even if you make it to the judges, there's not much of a chance that you will make it to Hollywood. Sorry. You should always give it a try though.
