He's a great pitcher, and a gyroball. But he has never faced major league hitting in a real game. Maybe 14-9. Way too hyped up, maybe a 3.40 ERA, he's pitching in the AL. It'll be nice though to see a game vs. the Yankees. Probably 3 ER in 7 IP, at least 1 HR against

He's going to be a corner stone in the Sox staff this year. He rely's heavily on keeping hitters of balance, which worked great in Japan where everything in fundamental. I think with game tapes, Major League scouting and the powerful AL East to contend with he can rake up 13 wins. Boston's unstable pen with cough up a few of Matsuzaka's potential wins.

He'll put up about 15-17 wins and 170-180 K's. An ERA of 3.50 and WHIP like 1.20.

He's good and ranks among some of the best...not all though

Only time will tell. Boston fans are expecting way too much.

The guy is small and will find the major league game a lot more challenging then the bats he faced in Japan.

11-13 wins..ERA around 4.50 or so

still unproven. Could see flashes of greatness, but needs to learn hitters. One time around the league he could be real good. Second time around, hitter will adjust and he has to learn to adjust as well.

so far, every game he has played has been amazing. Once he learns these hitters he will strike everyone out. Go to MLB.com and look at the next game he pitches and check out his era. amazing.
