That would be difficult...to trust someone who trusts no one.

As far as trusting others, I believe in the old saying that three people can keep a secret, if two of them are dead. So, I guess I do have a little problem with trusting other people, but with the world the way it is, can anyone blame me?

However, I feel that I am one of the most trustworthy people I know. So, in that case, no I don't agree. I know what kind of person I am, and I know that I can be trusted, even if I don't find very many people around me trustworthy.

If you can't trust as a rule, it's because you yourself don't trust people. That makes it hard to imagine that ANYONE is trustworthy. But in the end, lots of people are trustworthy, and it takes time and observation to figure out who they are. And when you do, and take an chance on them, and you are NOT betrayed, you will be able to trust others based on your experience of who you've learned can be trusted. Of course, you can distrust one person for particular good reasons or past experience of that person, and at the same time be a trustworthy person yourself.

No that is not true in most cases anyway.

Many people can't trust when they are trustworthy because they are afraid to trust in fear of being hurt or they know they shouldn't trust a particular person due to a persons dishonesty and/or past track record.

Most people in general will trust until they have reason not to.

In some cases however, unfortunately that holds true.

Some people may not trust you because they don't trust themselves.

Not always true. Some people can't trust because someone has done them wrong. Some people learn to let go of it and other's can't which can interfere in future relationships. People who go overboard with jealously have a big problem. People who get jealous because their love interest talks to someone of the opposite sex have issues to deal with. It's best to get out of a relationship like that. Their problem can become your problem. If they make you feel uncompfortable and guilty just because you talk to someone or look at someone a second too long, get away from them. They are a nut case.

No, because some people have trust issues and can't really trust anybody that easily unless they know them completely but they can be trusted. Lacking of trust doesn't mean you aren't trustworthy.

Nope. There are people I wouldn't trust for anything in the world, but that doesn't mean that I can't be trusted, because I'm probably one of the most trustworthy people around. Just because the pot is black doesn't mean the kettle is, lol.

I do not trust any human being. On all pieces of American money it is stated IN GOD WE TRUST---I will only put my trust in God.

Humans make mistakes whether intentionally or not----so why trust them! It is only a matter of time before your family, friends, or mate does soemthing to hurt you;so, instead of trusting them to not make a mistake--I trust that they will and then I can forgive! It hurts less when you are expecting a person to mess up!

Just matters on the person. Everyone has their reasons in not trusting or trusting others.

Not sure. I don't trust a lot of people but I think that they can trust me. I have no idea whether they trust me or not. Interesting philosophy.

No, trust is something that I give freely most of the time, but as I live and learn, less and less, however I can be trusted, I consider honesty to be my most important value.
