White vaginal discharge is very normal and every woman has some level of it once they reach puberty.
It serves 3 basic purposes......
The first and most important is cleansing. The vagina has skin cells, just like the rest of your body. But unlike the rest of you, you can't scrub the inside of your vagina. So your body produces the discharge to help slough off the dead skin cells. (FYI: NEVER douche...this will just mess things up and cause yeast infections!) The vagina is completely self-cleansing and self-maintaining.
The second is sexual lubrication. When you become sexually aroused, you will produce more discharge to ease penetration and to alleviate friction from thrusting.
The third is to facilitate the passage of sperm into the uterine cavity by helping to balance pH levels and keep the sperm alive long enough to do their job.
As long as your discharge is white, off-white, or clear, and thinnish (not clumpy) and is not causing itching or irritation, then you're perfectly fine. If you have any symptoms, visit your doctor (you may have a yeast infection).

You shouldn't have to be embarrassed to ask. . . it's a natural. Every girl has it, whether they like to admit it or not. What it is, is fluids that exit the body prior to puberty all through menopause. A normal, physiological, discharge is usually clear, creamy or very slightly yellow. The amount of discharge varies from woman to woman. How much discharge a woman notices changes from time to time and it will change quite a lot between periods.

it is like feeling slime or a clear or colored fluid on the genitals.
If you have some sort of thing happening or pain you should see a doctor though.
