Just opposing the other party no matter what and I always thought that the American people were better than that when it came to their political views, but from what I have seen on here I was wrong. Does anyone else agree?

Modern politicians view their positions as careers and not elected posts.

And as long as Americans insist on overwhelmingly reelecting incumbents, they'll continue to act in this manner.

If there were large and regular turnovers in incumbent candidates, this would cease to be a problem. But American voters are too invested in their political points of view to make that a reality.

Yeah, to an extent.....although I think that the people on here are a lot meaner than the average person would be in public, as there are no consequences. Also, I think the average American is not as interested in politics as most of the people on here are.

The USA is the most forward thinking democracy there is.

The rest of the world, exsp France, has a lot to learn from us.

Watch C-SPAN for a better view. Watch Fox and read the Washington Times to open you pea brain.

I agree. The parties don't represent our views and I've realized that for many years.
