Or it could be that............life is not permanent, hence take it seriously :). Depends on your perspective, and reasoning, and "what you wanna believe in". Whether there is another life after this life, no one knows though. It's a mystery. But yes, on the other hand, I do see your reasoning. I believe the best way is to use your judgment according to the situation/context/subject. Don't sweat the small stuff, and pay attention to the bigger more meaningful stuff......that'd leave a mark, perhaps, even after you leave, thus benefitting many other generations even after you are gone. Different people, different thoughts :)

Life is precious, but at the same time transient. Death is permanent, usually.
Your life is only serious if other lives depend on your seriousness. Sending people to die in a war for the freedom and honour of other people is serious. To go to war and kill or die for money alone seems to me mercenary.
You must believe in the cause before you can take it seriously. Otherwise you are in a catch 22 situation!

Agree and disagree - life is what you make it
I have a 90 year old nutty nana - she stays alive for what? She is adamant she wants to stay in her flat not go into care and gets taken out once a week - what kind of life is that? I think she is also worried about ppl breaking in when she is there on her own but does want to be looked after
Me I take life as it comes if it happens tomorrow I have done hwat I had to do I made sure of that . been where i wanted to be and that's life for me - if I die tomorrow so be it I have enjoyed it

No. Your life is something you can't do without. Of course you should take it seriously. That does not mean not enjoying life. You have to take life seriously before you can get the best out of it.

Umm I am divided in two opinions. Life is the only thing you'll have while you're breathing on Earth (obviously). But, it will end, so therefore you shouldn't regret as many things, as long as you know you mistakes. Good point too. I never thought of such a sentence!

I agree to a point. There is really no point in stressing the little things, but there is also no point in taking like so lightly that you make bad decisions that cause it to be far more temporary that was originally planned.

At the end you will be full of regrets anyway , so in a way you are correct.
Somethings need to be serious though such as crossing a road , making babies, and filling your belly button up with baked beans.

Agree and disagree at the same time: life too short to be too serious and so precious so we have to take most of it
