Am I the only one that sees this
Alot of ppl are saying Oakland is a place where Carr could and should go none of these ppl realize that Oaklands O-line is actually worse than the Texans

Carr was sacked about 40 times last year
the raiders QB's were sack for a combined 72 times last year
( the chargers sacked them 9 times in one game)

according to this Oakland should be the very last place david Carr goes

as for now, carr's released from the texans. i would say no one's gonna come up with a deal w/him cauz of his and the texans statistics last year. you said carr was sacked 'bout 40 times last year? i'd believe you. let the raiders keep russell.

I believe that he is probably the most talented QB the Niners have had on their roster in quite some time. They are giving the keys to Alex Smith and this is his year to prove for that last time that he is not a bust. The NFC West is weak, the Cardinals have taken big steps back, and there is no reason that the 49ers should not outright win their division and make the playoffs. Carr has a tendency to sign with teams with poor offensive lines. Inside of him there is a great QB and if Smith fails, Carr is a better go to guy that the previous years of half-@ss quarterbacks that the team has signed. No matter how he performs in training camp Alex Smith has the job.. that is why Hill is gone. (no controversy). The offensive line is what really holds this team back. Frank Gore is made average because of the line and at least Alex Smith can run enough to avoid a few sacks. Carr will get hit often if he plays... but it is a good move for the Niners. Considering the free agents, Carr is a good choice.

With oakland's o-line they need a durable QB. But you are right, if Carr wanted a team with a good line that needs a QB, Minnesota would be his best bet. Oakland has its advantages too though, like Kiffin is his olod coach, he's from Central California and he can throw to Randy Moss or maybe Calvin Johnson. Carr was sacked less than Andrew Walter because of mobility.

Carr is going to go to a team like the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns or the Oakland Raiders. If he were to go to Oakland, the Raiders wouldnt draft Russel out of LSU, they would draft Calvin Johnson for Georgia Tech. I think the best team suited for Carr is Cleveland or Detroit because they need a quarterback badly and can address their needs in the draft.

I was thinking the same thing earlier. I'd like to see Carr go to a better team. I like him. He has talent. Great arm and hes mobile..... Hes just on a bad team and has no tools to work with....I mean he has his team pass on Reggie Bush, somebody that might have taken some pressure off of him......That shows you how boneheaded the Texans are.....If Kubiak is making these decisions maybe he needs to go back to just getting an offensive coordinatior.......But I was thinking if the Raiders do go after Carr... Get rid of Randy Moss and go after Calvin Johnson and some O-line guys.... I would really like them to get Quinn because he is really football smart and is ready to go....... but there is always Colt Brennan next year.......might not be a bad idea to go after Carr..........Put in a veteran QB and try to build a team around him for the next couple of years...

It could be good for Carr. Oakland has gone after some offensive lineman in free agency, plus maybe willing to build a team around him.
Something Texas doesn't want to do.

That would be a disaster. If Andrew Walter and Aaron Brooks could not work with that team, how will Carr do it??!!!!

2 WORDS:

JAMARCUS RUSSEL

That is their only hope to have a winning season and not be the losers of the NFL.

I feel for anybody who goes to the Raiders. The constant power struggle makes for a difficult team to lead.

If things work out right it will go: Trent Green to Miami, David Carr to Detroit, and Daunte Culpepper to the Raiders. Culpepper is perfect for the Raiders because he can be disgruntled and blame everyone else.

This will allow the Raiders to foolishly not pick JaMarcus Russell and go for Calvin as the #1 pick.

I don't think the Raiders will go after him as their starter. I agree with the guy who said they might bring him in like the Titans did with Collins for Young. He may start the season off but I believe they will draft the QB from LSU and he will be starting come mid-season. I don't know that anyone will bring Carr in to be the automatic starter. He will have to prove himself wherever he goes.

I think he should go there, kind of like a vince young situation. Kerry Collins played the first few games and then came in Young. The Raiders are going to draft Jamarcus Russel and it would be good to have a guy with experience so Russel doesnt get thrown to the wolves.
