Breathe-- worrying won't give you an answer. The same thing happened to me... exactly what you're describing. A pea sized lump there one day gone the next. It was from hormone fluxuations ( it happened after I delivered my second son).
You're doing the right things-- you're seeing your MD, getting a mammogram, you asked for support-- that's all you can do until you get some firm information. Between now and then live in the moment and try to be happy. You'll be okay. :)

I had this problem too, and was terrified! Once I spoke to a doctor, I was assured it was either a blocked milk duct or a hormonal imbalance and is very common. I was still a wee bit worried afterwards, but after a week or so it was gone. I really don't think you have anything to worry about. I know that's easier said than done though. Try to relax and get a good rest, it's amazing how much a good sleep can do for you. It's a very common thing.Good luck.

I had the same, one minute here, next one gone sort of.I freaked too,and I went through a series of mammograms (because of the odd location it was hard to do) anyway it was nothing.I was told that it might had something to do with the monthly cycle.Well this kept going for a year or so,sometimes it was there and other times gone, but I could always move it( guess that it is important) After that year it never came back.Good luck

I had one of those last year and my doctor sent a letter for an appointment for the hospital - I never made it to the hospital as the lump just disappeared - it was pea sized as well. If the doctor was concerned they would have got you an earlier appoinment - it is worrying but like you mentioned if it is moving it is a good sign

It could be just a cyst because it moves. So, if that's the case do not worry. But wait a minute.... you have to wait 13 weeks for a mammogram??? Where in the world are you????? My doctor would have me scheduled the very next day !!!!

One thing about a lump is that there is no substitute for knowledge. There is no absolute whether it is benign or not except for complete diagnostic exam, ie: mammogram, ultrasound, tissue biopsy. I would consult my local public health department to see if they have a traveling mammography van or other option available for a quicker method available for these tests to be conducted. It's easy for your doctor to say "Nothing to be worried about." Best of luck, honey

This could be something as simple as a lymph node. It is normal to totally freak out though with everything that we know about breast cancer. Try to relax a little and know that you are doing everything you can do until you have your mammogram. I know it will be hard for you. But try OK!

i am feeling the same thing before....but it went away...my doctor ask me if i am taking birth control pills...i said yes. he said thats why my breast is hurting and feeling something...most esp. if my period is coming..coz this is considered as one of the side effects of the pills.
but if u r not taking, well, i think you will still be ok...unless they find out something in your mammogram test...think positive...
