Why do I see so many answers from conservatives talking about the military and bravery when an overwhelming majority of them never served, never will serve, and would never let their young serve, but they will tell you how brave they are and such. I am a former Marine and I DID fight. I DID serve my country and I do not regret it, but for you scared-of-the-dark, fight-'em-over-here-or-fight-'em-over-there Bush supporters, how are you brave? Hoping the corrupt super rich who don't care about you whatsoever will send the other half of the poor to fight and die so your cowardly behind doesn't have to is not bravery. I think people that are quick to put somebody else in harm's way for their own safety should first know the cruciality of a life and death situation to help them better understand what they are asking of their service members. I think any self-respecting citizen would agree that a person that asks somebody to do something that they aren't prepared to do themselves is a coward

so your parents forced you to join the marine's or did you volunteer . This is a ridiculous argument . You put a spin on it like conservatives are draft dodgers like liberals , that the military isn't volunteer , and that the majority of the military doesn't want to be there to serve their country . You make it sound like conservatives are forcing these men and women like a pirate walking a plank . I haven't seen any conservative on here state "they are brave" .
"I think any self-respecting citizen would agree that a person that asks somebody to do something that they aren't prepared to do themselves is a coward"
I didn't ask for this war , I just support it because that is what the educated people in the field have said we need for national security , and I support this country .
this is an argument created by liberals that can't discus issues in a rational way .
liberalism is a mental disorder

Ummm, let me make a slight correction to your rant: The over-whelming majority of people in our Country (regardless of being a liberal or conservative) have never served.
I can pretty much guarantee that fewer liberals have served in the military... Since volumes of them cherish an education and peace far more than anything else in their life.
Some of the most vocal supporters to pull troops out of Iraq have never dared leave our sacred soil, let alone go over there for a look-see for themselves on what the hell is going on.
Coming from a marine though your theory is quite interesting to say the least.
So what's your take on the thousands of support personnel working over there trying to rebuild the country? Any choice words for their sacrifices?
As for the corrupt super rich (as you call them) does this exclude wealthy celebrities, liberal big business owners and everyone else who chips in their 2-cents worth - say for instance, athletes, the media, magazine publishing companies and how they talk big and yet are the first to run when people need their help??
pffft

I think you have it wrong. People in today's military were not asked to go out and fight. They signed on to do it willingly. It's part of being in a military organization. There's a chance you may have to fight.
I didn't serve, no. (Thought about it after 9/11, though I'd probably be out on my history of back problems today, plus I'm about to top out on age). But, does that make it wrong for me to support those who did and do?
I'm prepared to fight in the event the fight ever comes here. So there you have it.

I served two tours in Viet Nam. 98% of the military now serving is conservative. Not only that I served 30 years in law enforcement. Your question is an unsubstantiated presumtion. Give us all the particulars where you served. What outfit were you in and where.
Additional. I just went to D.O.D's U.S.M.C. Roster and can't find your name, Gabriel Anton, anywhere

materials? what are you speaking approximately? a protester gets beat up and you assume a crowd of "brave, unfastened, Proud Conservative Cowboys" to return to the rescue? in the event that they did get entangled i wager you will possibly have joined in a chant of racism because of fact they beat up a stated "Mexican" forgetting all mutually that the stated "Mexican" grew to become into the preliminary attacker
