Do you have to be 18 when you register? Or can you register ahead of time, assuming that you will be 18 on election day?

yep. u can.. thats how it was for me this year and i was able to vote.

YES, but go and register early and show them proof that on election you will be 18 and get an advance registration card to allow you to vote that day.

You must be 18 to register. Then you cannot vote in any election for the next few weeks (according to your district laws)

Yes you can register before you turn 18, I did. Usually after you turn 18 they mail the voters card to you, but I'm sure that you can make a request to get it sooner. And since you will be 18, you can vote...its your right! Have fun. Hope this helps.

personally it better to regaster early but i know for a fact you can vote on your birthday on the day you need id and medical care and some thing to prove were you live if you know some one out side your city ask them to mail you a letterright now and then bring the envilope to the the polls.on election day but if you have a bill that come to you onec a month then keep the bill form.and bring it i know because i was a election junky.

I think if you're gonna be 18 in two months, you can register.And it's good to see another young person interested in voicing his opinion in the democratic process.
