I love baseball, but most people I know don't understand why. I have to explain to them that when you're a baseball fan, you're not just watching for the super-exciting walk off homers. You get familiar with players, and their styles and stats, and a huge part of the fun of watching games is watching the players develop and change. It's a baseball thing. Either you get it or you don't.

I enjoy the playoffs and World Series, but I find the season to be too long and the games definitely drag on while everyone is practicing their swing, digging, adjusting, scratching, spitting and talking. American football rules!
