My friend and I drank a bit too much last night and things went sour for some reason. I just called her to talk to her and she acted like it was all me but I know it wasn't. I have to wake up every day super early to get to work so I said that I wanted to go to bed and she went off on me about how she wakes up early every day and I don't see her whining about having to go to bed, which is absurd, I think because she gets up everyday to go to school for a couple of hours and then gets to chill after that. I work every day and go to class for hours even after work, so I got a bit offended. But, we resolved things, but I still feel weird, like maybe i don't want to be her friend anymore...what should I do?

I pretty much went through the same problem except the situation was a little bit different. I am a full time student and I work part time as well. My friend has previously gone to a tech school and now she works 2 part time jobs...Although her work schedule doesn't always conflict with our outings, sometimes my friend just decides whenever she wants when she is ready to leave regardless of anybody's opinion. It's VERY unusual! But N E way...I notice now that we (from high school to college and tech school) have grown apart and different in many ways. We don't spend as much time together but I still continue to occasional hang out. I love her as a friend and that will never change...and no 2 people think alike and it should be respectable. BUT I DO TRY 2 MAKE SURE WE GO N SEPARATE CARS. Point being: Be the bigger person and if the friendship is priceless you will work to preserve it and maintain peace btw the 2 of u even if you both don't hang out as much as before.

It sounds like you might be maturing faster or at least have more responsibilities than your friend. I think the two most important issues here would be to not force the relationship one way or the other, just do what feels right maybe you will be friends maybe you won't. Second point is do not party on a school night or a work night. Getting a good buzz is not a bad thing but choose the right time and place.

I don't think this is a situation that should end a friendship. Maybe the two of you shouldn't hang out as much for a while but not loose a friendship. But if this is a just developing or "let's just hangout on weekends" type friendship then this is a bad note to start out on and it may be a good decision to part ways now before something extreme happens.

hey there :).. seems to me that ur friend's gonna have her pms real soon! lol...
she had no right getting mad at something u two did. u were both drunk & she has no right blaiming everyone on you.
I don't think she has good judgement on things & it shows from what u said that she's the type of person who always thinks they're right.
If you have the energy for those kinds of people ( unlike me ),then keep it loos for a bit till u two get over what happened, then try to forget ur fight & renew the friendship, if not, just ignore her & find urself a better friend.

I wouldn't let a small misunderstanding end a friendship. Especially when you were both drinking. You both should admit your mistakes, learn from them and move on with the friendship. Heh, wait till she's 35 and then ask her about going to bed early.

I had something -kinda- like that happen to me recently. You have to weigh the friendship. How long have you been friends with this person? How much does that friendship mean to you? How much of this is just you being pissy unintentionally? Analyze your feelings and why they're there, and use that to make a determination.

Tell her you need a break from her for awhile. Tell her your doubting your friendship with her and before you totally break it off with her you need time to yourself to think about things. Once you go back if you feel the same maybe it is best you guys move on in different directions.

chalk it up to the booze for now. Give it a few days and talk it over if she does listen to you then you will know that this friendship is one sided and she is not considerate of what is going on in your life. A REAL FRIEND WOULD.

Something like this has happened to all of us.. give it a few days.. if the argument really was over nothing - then you both will get over it.
Perhaps she is a bit insecure that you are more successful than she is.

I realized that friends can be like fur. Sometimes you gotta shed them. If she can't realize that you have stresses that maybe she may not have, and be supportive instead of b__ch at you, then she may not be the kind of friend you want to hold on to.
