I am kind of confused about how many weeks pregnant I am. I actually know the exact day that I conceived (February 16th), and the first day of my last period was January 30th. So, do I calculate the number of weeks from the date of conception or from the date of my last missed period? Thank you!

first day of your last period. That's what your doctor will use to determine your due date.

You actually start with the first day of your last period, add seven das to that date and then add on 9 months! which you will end up with a due date! any doctor will tell you that it could still also be either 2 weeks before that date or 2 weeks after! something that i found very helpful with all my pregnancies is a book called-- what to expect when your expecting. it has many many questions and answers! hope this helps!

Since doctors never know exactly when you conceived, they used your last menstrual period to determine how "many weeks" pregnant you are. So technically for the first two weeks of your pregnancy you arent even pregnant yet.
But just count from the last day of your period 40 weeks ahead and thats your due date

You start counting from the first day of your last period making you 7 weeks and 3 days. I know its weird but that is the way they count the 40 weeks. Your due date would be around the 6th of November. Congrats and best of luck!

I love these q's I have a medical dic telling me the exact due date. let's see, November 6th. Go to a doctor to confirm it, because the obgyn's go by for the first visit your last period. Depending on your uterus size that will pinpoint a date within a week or days. Congrats!!

The Dr's will always go by the date of LMP. Even if you are sure of the conception date. So that would make you approximately 7 weeks and 3 days from date of LMP.

Calculate from the date of your LMP. That's where the typical 40 week pregnancy comes from. You aren't actually pregnant for 40 weeks. The first two weeks is before you're even pregnant. Best of luck.

usually, it is calculated as follows, you count 7 days after the first day of your last period meaning that if it was Jan 30th so on 6th Feb you entered your first month of pregnancy and your due date will be Nov 6th, congratulation and take care of yourself

Doctors calculate pregnancy from the first day of your last period.
So, if yours was January 30th, then you are almost 8 weeks pregnant.

Congratulations!

For all the books and websites, go from your first day of your last period. This is what your doctor will use to predict roughly when the baby will be born.

congrats!
