There is no doubt he was mentally unstable to some degree. If you really want to read an interesting, detailed account of what psychologists of his day believed Hitlers personality was like check out: "Analysis of the Personality of Adolph Hitler: With Predictions of His Future Behavior and Suggestions for Dealing with Him Now and After Germany's Surrender" by Dr. Henry A. Murray

Not really sure, one can only go by the historians deceptions.
However, I so wish that his mother had had a daughter instead, or better still miscarried, just think of the misery and lives that would have been saved!

He supposedly had an affair with somebody blood related to him while he had very little intercourse with Eva Braun, his life partner.
He is thought to be born from an unknown father which he believe to be a jewish inkeeper from a hostel which will influence him very much. He also had only one testicle which might be an other part of the problem of his troubled personality

Very bipolar and gets angry quickly. I think he got mad at people that were not white or something like that. Checkout the German movie Downfall for a pretty good depiction of him.

when he was young, he was a momma's boy until she died. then he turned into this person who's mission was to save germany and turn it into an empire. he also blamed the jews for a lot of stuff.
