I asked my doctor this question a few weeks ago when I went back on the pill because of PCOS and she told me to drink water The pill cause your body to retain 5-10 pounds of fluid and if you drink water ( 8 8oz glasses at least) it will flush the extra out of your body. Also if you drink this much water you are less likely to be hungry between meals and so you snack less.I wastold to also do at least 30 minutes of cardio type exercise to boost my metabolism and to get my blood flowing so that more toxins are flushed out when I pee.

The extra weight is likely water retention; not fat.
It's a myth the pill makes you gain weight. When you're on the pill you retain water more than you do without the pill.

Take Diurex daily and drink at least 3 - 8 glasses of fluid a day. The weight will come off.

It wouldn't hurt to exercise and eat healthy as well. At least walk every day for a half hour.
If you drink soda, drink iced tea instead (especially the bottled Acme tea). Tea has less sugar than soda. You'll lose weight from that alone. I did.

Well since you have stopped using the birth control that caused the weight gain chances are you will lose some of the weight anyway-when i stopped i lost about 10 pounds without even trying-so i would just exercize and do alot of walking and eat right and see what happens.good luck

I had the same problem. You will have to work constantly to keep the weight off as it is hormone related and you keep injesting it.

Drink lots of water, exercise and eat right. Maybe as your doctor for a low hormone pill.

Well, don't blame it all on the birth control. If you have stopped taking it, it should not be hard to lose. You should not have gained more than ten lbs. either so if you have gained more and or are having trouble losing it. Then I would blame your exercise and eating habits, and not the birth control.

If it was really because of the pill, it will come off naturally in about a month.
