If you have a period and you want to swim, you have no choice but to wear a tampon. There is no alternative.
If you wore a pad it would soak up the pool water in a matter of milliseconds and you'd have a mess on your hands. Just take a pad and drop it in a sink of water and see what happens! And once it absorbs all that water, it will NOT absorb menstrual flow, so the pad would be useless then.

You should either not swim or use a tampon. Using pads in a pool is not a good idea. It's akin with a baby being in a pool without wearing a swim diaper.

I will have to say no. Pads will become saggy and smelly when you get out of the pool. If you wear tampons, then I say use those for the pool or use something that will not interact with water.

try using tampons. begin with the slender size if you're just starting your period. They fell a little weird when you first start to wear them - don't forget to take them out after 4 hours.
While you are in the water you will not bleed, so you just have to worry about getting into and out of the pool.

Try a super strength tampon. If you don't wear them, I wouldn't suggest wearing a pad swimming, the blood, ugg, may leak when it becomes wet. If you don't use tampons, wait till your period is over to go swimming.

NO!! The blood will get inthe water and the pad will get soggy! Use a tampon! You know...the little absorbant tubes that you insert in you body...this is the best and only way....or else wait to swim...good luck!

You can but it would probably be better to use a tampon instead. If you use a pad, the discharge from your body will be somewhat absorbedd, but mostly it will absorbe water and provide no protection.
