The trend to earlier sex is accelerating with succeeding generations. Those respondents currently aged 40 years or over report their first intercourse at an average age of 18.6 years, compared with the average age of 18 years for 30- to 39-year-olds. The youngest group of respondents shows a highly responsible attitude to the use of condoms. Condom usage is highest among 16- to 19-year-olds (61 per cent have used a condom in the last three months) with over half (52 per cent) of the most sexually active group, the 20- to 29-year-olds, having used condoms in the last three months. Average age of first intercourse for condom users is similar to the global average.

Gender is also a factor in age of first sex. Men have their first sexual intercourse at a younger age than women (17.3 versus 17.8 years) which suggests that young men are having their first sexual experiences with older women. The survey shows that current relationship status has little impact on the age of first sex. The survey highlights a significant international trend towards a decreasing age of first sex. Globally, the average age of first intercourse is 17.6 years. Americans are the youngest to start having sex--at an average of 16.2 years of age, whereas people in Hong Kong (18.9 years) and Poland (18.7 years) refrain the longest. However, the survey shows the age of first sexual intercourse does not equate to the ongoing frequency of sex.

I think most boys do some light touching, or even kissing, maybe some go a bit further but not many would have had full sex before 12.
About 50% would have some experiance of sexual activity before 12.
Its equal if the person is about same age but if say a boy under 12 is doing things, with say someone over 15 then it might be that the young boy is not ready for that type of experiance and could be getting abused or taken advantage off.
Please be very carefull if you are thinking of having sex under the age of 12, you could get very hurt, take care David :)xxx

Why are you asking such a question? In my opinon, you shouldn't be pondering how many 12 year olds are having sex. That's just gross.

I would guess that about 90% do something about sex...whether or not it's with someone else or not...I have no idea.
