You might be able to get them back, as when you delete things on your computer the information stay there. All that really happens is your computer "forgets" where they are... it's like forgetting someone's home address and saying they don't exist anymore - in reality they're still there. Only problem is, your computer can't undelete things without some help, so you need to use other programs to do it. Check out the link below.
It won't always work though, as whenever you save additional files, there's a risk the new file will be saved in the same place as the information you want to undelete... this is the equivalent of the person above (whose address you forget) being replaced by someone else moving into the house.

On your computer? you can check the recycle bin
depends on your operating system (regarding on where it is)
minimize everything and click on "my computer" icon, then you should be able to find the recycle bin.
once there you can highlight right click and restore the pictures (files)
If not on your computer this may not work typically most cameras do not have a way to restore files.
even on the computer it depends on how the files were deleted.
they also may be moved - maybe you can search for all pictures on your computer.

File recovery-
Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

Go check the recycle bin, right click and then click restore. That is if someone did not delete it from the recycle bin which I doubt.

You could HOPE that the files are sitting in your recycle bin. If the recycle bin has been emptied - then there is aftermarket recovery software available. Check out Best Buy.

Hoping they haven't emptied the recycle bin, right-click on the recycle bin on your desktop and choose explore. Find the appropriate files, double-click on them and choose Restore.

there are applications such as get data back that you can download and use as a 30 day day trial that will recover these files. I recommend the above application as i use it and have a registered copy but there are other applications like executive software - undelete. give it a try.

I would recommend Recover My Photos. It can recover image files that have been deleted. I have also used it to recover image files that I forgot to backup before formatting my hard drive.

yes you can go to your trash. as long as they didnt empty it thats where they will be.
to empty your trash:
1. it should be right on your desk top. if not it will be in the startup menu under my computer.
2. click on it and it will show everything that has recently been deleted. you can go through and get your pictures and resave them
