Because as long as the populace has guns controlling them is much tougher. How has every other major Socialist revolution begun? By disarming the population.

Because Libs don't like guns...they are afraid of anything that may be used to take away any power they may have......
They think that passing a gazillion laws will make everyone safe....Bad Guys don't abide by laws, and they still don't get it

Wow, I'm a Libertarian, but I can answer that one! Because that's the only one the Republican Party (religious right) DOESN'T want to regulate in some way, shape, or form.
