If you envision most of oyur crafts being sold locally, I would try a free website since most of the sales would be "word of mouth" driven.

If you want a website that will get a lot of internet "traffic". I'd highly recommend SBI. I started a fitness / running site through them a year ago and have been thrilled with the results....and I don't have anything to sell...I get income through advertising & affiliate ads.

Look into it and see what the best fit is. Below is a link to a page on my site that talks about starting a website...good luck!!

The best way is to find web store provider that offers everything in spot, rather than having to put together all the little pieces together yourself. Here is a list of various providers and a simple comparison chart: (http://www.quickbooksmerchantservice.com/services/merchant_service_web/partner.php). Personally, I think NetworkSolutions offers the best package at the best price at only $49.95.

The next thing is you need is Merchant Services to accept credit card payments and transfer them to a designated merchant account. Using the link given above, you can explore QuickBooks Merchant Services, which is probably the best service there is and offers the most affordable pricing for transaction fees.

Once you get both of these services, you'll be on your way to selling some crafts in no time.

You could as suggested create your own, or build slowly on ebay and see what style of business you are building, that will give you the pointer you need to know what exact website you need. Or liaise with existing traffic owners 9arts/crafts) alomost as re-sellers to yours. Hope that helps.
