If a tampon is improperly inserted, it may slip to the vaginal opening, which would allow for leakage and possible discomfort. Remove and replace the tampon, inserting it as deeply into the vagina as possible.
If it moves within the vaginal cavity, there's nothing that will happen. It may become uncomfortable if it moves to press against the cervix when it's first inserted (before it softens from menstrual flow). Just give the strings a tug and this will alleviate the discomfort.

Tampons won't move or slip. Just make sure you remember to take it out so you won't get an infection. I know someone who forgot about it and put in another one and had to get the first one surgically removed. Tampons are great though. There's practically no mess! But be careful of Pearl tampons...they can cause urinary tract infections. The materials they are made of cause this. And make sure you read the label...if it says not to flush it, don't!

For years I kept trying to use tampons but they were so uncomfortable. After I put them in, correctly, it felt like it was slipping out and was uncomfortable. Most of the time you just have the get used to wearing them, and if inserted correctly it shouldn't move or slip and you shouldn't feel it.
If you keep trying but keep having trouble... see your doctor, the reason I cant wear them is because I had a retro-flexed uterus also known as tilted uterus.

If a tampon is not in correctly then there can be extra leaking and it could also fall out when you use the bathroom. It is also kind of uncomfortable. I always use a panty liner in addition to tampons...just in case =)

Slips? Like comes out? Then you put another back in.
Moves? Where would it move to?
Can you add some details please to get a better understanding of what you mean?
