The Salukis were robbed. There was a shot clock violation and a basket interference call that went against SIU. These two plays decided the game.

Those plays sucked. But you cannot possibly say that those 2 situations cost them the game. The salukis had a poor shooting performance. 37% If I remember correctly and Tatum was 1-6 from 3pt range. They played a hell of a game taking that into consideration.

Before the game if you asked Chris Lowery or any Saluki player what would happen if they didn't have a good offensive game. I'd expect most of them would say Kansas would dominate them. They were one of the best defensive teams in the nation however against a team like Kansas you still have to execute on the offensive end.

And keep in mind that if those plays had went SIU's way it would have completely changed every play from that point on. Kansas still could have won.

So did the Salukis missing free throws, jump shots, dumb fouls, bad coaching and getting done up by Sheron Collins and Brandon Rush.

For once, a game was evenly called...the players decided this game, not the refs---bad calls went both ways.

Had SIU in my final 4, but oh well.

SIU played out of control late in the game.

Ya man. I had them in my final four (don't laugh) and they would have been one step closer if the refs could do a better job at making basic calls
