Anyone can go parasailing just be aware that the safety standards in Mexico are not the same as in the US. People die or get injured and there is no recourse.

Nice knowing you...
Edit:
Gee, let's give me a thumbs down... Sorry, what's the responder below me saying? Oh yeah, that someone they knew of died there doing that. They don't care there. A large person stands even more of a chance of getting killed.
Don't go parasailing in Mexico! You stand a better chance with your head in the oven!! Cabron.

You might need a larger vessel. Why are US people the biggest in the Western world, and the ones with diabetes and heart problems? Why not go running instead?

i was just there, and saw lots of people doing it...but honestsly, no heavy people. also, my boyfriend who is mexican, actually knows a family whose father DIED!! because the harness snapped! and they couldn't do anything about it because they had signed a waiver. the safety standards are not the same, and the equipment is not monitered as well as here. i'm not saying people don't do it every day, obviously they do...but, if you are worried about your weight...i would try it in hawaii...where you KNOW they are held accountable.

How large are we talking? My sister is 250lbs and she had a blast. Besides it was above the ocean, you'd land in the water.
