The factor for converting feet into metres is 0.3048.
f feet = .3048 f metres.
g square feet = g x feet x feet, and therefore the number of square metres is:
g x 0.3048 x 0.3048
= g x (0.3048)^2
= g x 0.09290304

In the metric system, 39.37 inches = 1 meter (m)
39.37/12=3.281 feet in a meter. Therefore a foot = .305 m.
.305 * .305 = .093 sq m
