I am talking about baby/table food and how many ozs of milk? If you have some sort of guidelines to follow that might help.

i am in the process of weaning my 11 1/2 mon. old from 6 6oz bottles a day she is eating about 4 bottles at 6 oz. now of whole milk(i just took her off formula a couple days ago-my dr. said it was ok a couple weeks before she turned a year old. )she also eats 3 meals a day. about a tablespoon each of a few different foods plus 1 or 2 snacks a day. a little fruit or teething bisquit or handful of cheerios.i read once to keep in mind of each age of your child and put a tablespoon of each food for each age. sometimes she wont eat that much though or she might eat a little more.

Wow I read the above answerers and have to say that I don't follow those guidelines.

My doctor told me that my baby should be having about 4, 6 oz bottles a day. She doesn't exactly follow that since she has started cow milk. I usually offer her a variety of milk, water, and juice throughout the day because sometimes she will drink one more than the other. So I switch on and off.

As far as food is concerned I usually give her a breakfast of cereal with toast or eggs with toast (probably about half of a scrambled egg).

At lunch I'll give her a toddler meal. They are like little cups of chicken and stars, or macaroni meals and you basically heat them in the microwave. If I don't have that then I'll make her a small finger sandwich and cut it in bite size pieces for her. While I feed her I always give her a choice of crackers or teddy grahams/animal cookies. It keeps her hands busy especially if she has to be spoon fed. I give her a little pudding or applesauce.

Then for dinner, I usually try to serve her a little of whatever we eat. I don't go by a specific measurement because sometimes she is more hungry than others. I just try to offer a little bit of each thing and then give her a small cup of fruit if I think she isn't full enough. You just have to judge yourself when it comes to table eating. But your baby will let you know time by time if she is satisfied or not.

Offering snacks in between meals isn't the best habit to begin. But it's ok to offer her one snack time each day to tide her over if she seems hungry. Juice, milk, and lots of water also fill her small tummy easily so you have to consider that when its mealtime. You just have to experiment with it until you find a good feeding schedule that works best for your child.

Here is a sample menu for a baby 9 months to 12 months according to a website I found:
Breakfast
8 to 10 oz. breast milk or formula
2 to 4 tbsp. iron-fortified infant cereal
2 to 4 tbsp. canned peaches

Mid a.m.
4 oz. vitamin C-rich juice from cup
1/2 slice bread, bite-size pieces

Lunch
8 to 10 oz. breast milk or formula
1 oz. baked chicken, finely diced
4 tbsp. carrots, cooked and diced

Mid p.m.
1/4 cup whole grain oat cereal such as Cheerios

Dinner
8 to 10 oz. breast milk or formula
1/2 c. casserole of ground beef, rice and peas (containing 1 oz. of meat)

Hope this helps!
