Not myself personally, but a friend of mine flunked out of college. We were members of the same fraternity, and he just kept skipping classes and obviously failing the exams. The first semester, his failing grades put him on academic probation. We tried to get him to shape up, and even got other frat brothers to literally drag him to class once in a while, but it was no use. You can lead a student to a class, but you can't make it learn.
He still came to our parties all the time after moving out of the house when they refused to let him register for any more classes (AKA "flunked out"), and I think he's either working in a mall now or still just living with his parents for free.
