String theory aims to explain all the laws and the constituents of the universe supposing that elemental particles are simple strings vibrating according to different frequencies.
It is a difficult physics theory, for it needs very advanced mathematics, and the problems related are not still solved. But scientific hope that they will solve a physics main problem still pending: the quantification of gravity.

The string theory was devised to explain everything. It is commonly called around physicists the "M theory" or the "Theory of Everything". It says that atoms are made of vibrating at different frequencies. The strings are one-dimensional figures that are so small that the most powerful microscope cannot even see them. That's called Plank's Length which is 10^-35m. Before the string theory, there was nothing that could bring every force in the universe together. Once they developed the string theory, it all made sense to the scientists. That's just the basics of it. Go to the sites below to learn more.
