Hey, it must be really hard for you too. I had to work in america for 6 weeks and i hated it, the things that made me feel better were planning things to do when i got back, like going out shopping or to the cinema and things with my friends and family. Make some nice plans and just reassure them that you are going to be there when they get back :-) Im sure they appreciate you just being there to talk too as well.
ps. it wasn't america or americans i didnt like (just to point it out) but the person i was out there with and also i was very very homesick.

Just assure her that things will get better once she makes some friends. Its going to take time and nothing worth doing or having is ever easy! This is an opportunity of a lifetime, just remind her that. YOu are a good friend. Good luck

make out your having a really s**t time or that you got a problem that worse than the situation she in e.g(cat got hit by bus)so she will put it all in perspective and not bring you down with her own anxiety, not like she in jail for crying out loud : )

tell her your missing her and that you are looking forward to lots of fun things to do with her, maybe remind her of the fun stuff you have done, and plan something for her to look forward to when she comes home, some thing really exciting.
