Does the emergency contraceptive pill Plan B cause spotting or irregular bleeding?

Yes it can. Some women experience light spotting after taking Plan B or other Levonorgestrel emergency contraceptives. If you start to bleed heavily, you may want to check in with your dr, nurse or whomever you feel comfortable talking to about this.

Your next period may be different than your regular period as well...a little late, heavier, lighter. If your period is more than a week late, you should take a pregnancy test on the off chance you may be pregnant.

Hope this helps.

It didn't cause any of that for me. My period the next time was a few days late, but that's it.
